Pop up travel cot perfect for holidays

This pop-up travel cot by Samsonite was one of the first things we bought when we had our first child. In fact, we bought the smaller version first and got a lot of use out of it, so then bought this bigger version later.

It's a really excellent product and both our children slept well in it and we had no worries about them trying to climb out. It's also light and compact enough for the smallest car and really easy to put up and dismantle. My only worry was that the baby might crawl inside it and travel around the room like a hamster in a ball, but that never happened (I may have an overactive imagination).

You can find a few Samsonite pop up travel cots on Nappy Valley at the moment.

Expanding your family?

I'm sure you've already heard the news that the Beckhams are expanding their family. Yes, again. It won't be a problem in Beckingham Palace, of course, but for most of us a new baby means rearranging furniture and making the best of the available space.

If space is at a premium, bunk beds are a great option and I love this Harbour Bunk Bed from Great Little Trading Company with reversible shelving and an underbed drawer that can be used as another extra bed.

Check out more sleeping options - for kids of all ages - at Nappy Valley.

Lots of cots

I find myself terribly tempted by cots. There are just so many different options: practical, stylish, innovative - parents today really are spoilt for choice.

And there are dozens of fantastic cots for sale on Nappy Valley. From the beautiful Stokke Sleepi to a Nature's Nest hammock and the NCT's Bed Nest Co-Sleeper (pictured), all in good condition and at great prices. There's something for everyone, not matter how fussy (that goes for the parents and the babies!).

Beautiful Pottery Barn sleigh crib

Pottery Barn may well be best known here thanks to that episode of Friends (The One With the Apothecary Table), but their furniture is absolutely gorgeous.

Just look at this beautiful espresso-coloured sleigh crib on Nappy Valley.

Bought for $700 at Pottery Barn in the US, it's in excellent condition and listed at just £200. Available with mattress if needed, it has three height positions and a movable side rail and would be an extremely stylish addition to any nursery.
