Word Up Festival, Dulwich, 22nd -24th October

Word Up! a brand new, 3 day family festival launches this weekend in south London.


Hear from the UK’s best children’s writers, poets and storytellers. Enjoy workshops with a variety of artists, belly laugh at stand-up comedy, make some noise with world-class musicians and shake your tail-feather to British carnival sounds.

Entry to the festival site will be free and there will be the chance for all festival goers to enjoy free storytelling sessions, poetry events, book making, face painting, music performances and pick up a free personally commissioned art work from the team of illustrators.

There will also be lots of delicious food, tempting stalls, a Mum’s pamper zone and other pop up treats to enjoy around the festival site.

Biscuit cushions

 

A lot of biscuits get eaten in our house. With three "forever hungry" little boys and a mummy who can't have a cup of tea without something to go with it, a packet usually doesn't last longer than a day. My best ever hand-me-down

This wonderful Mr Tickle t-shirt actually belonged to my husband. It is the St Michael brand purchased from M&S circa 1976! My mother-in-law passed it on to her daughter and her four sons wore it. It was then passed on to me and worn by my 3 sons. 35 years later it is still a brilliant white colour and my boys have been very proud wearing the same t-shirt as their daddy wore as a boy!

I think I've finally found the best water bottle for my boys to take to school.
